Who we are

This website is published and operated by Paul-Austin Sargent, County Councillor for Banbury Grimsbury & Castle, c/o County Hall, New Road, Oxford, OX1 1ND. References to 'we', 'us' or 'our' in this policy refer to Paul-Austin Sargent in his capacity as an elected representative.

What data we collect and why

Petition signatures

When you sign a petition on this site we collect your name, email address, postcode and any comment you choose to provide. This information is used solely to demonstrate public support for the relevant campaign to decision-makers. Your email address will not be published; only your name and postcode may be included in summary data shared with Oxfordshire County Council or other public bodies.

Contact form

Messages submitted via the contact form are received by Paul-Austin Sargent and used only to respond to your enquiry. We do not share contact form submissions with third parties.

Newsletter sign-up

If you subscribe to our newsletter we collect your name and email address. You may unsubscribe at any time by contacting us directly. We do not sell or share your email address with third parties.

Survey responses

Survey responses are collected anonymously or with optional contact details if you choose to provide them. Results are used to inform local policy priorities.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. Analytics data is collected only with your consent (via the cookie banner) and is processed in accordance with Google's privacy policy. No personally identifiable information is sent to Google Analytics.

Legal basis for processing

How long we keep your data

Petition data is retained for the duration of the relevant campaign and for a reasonable period thereafter for audit purposes. Contact form messages are retained for up to 12 months. Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe.
